IMAGINE YOURSELF PLAYING THE ROCK MUSIC YOU LOVE ON THE BEAUTIFUL UNIVERSITY OF MIAMI FROST SCHOOL OF MUSIC CAMPUS...

OUR ROCK PROGRAM:

(For Piano, Bass, Drums, Voice, and Guitar)

Campers will enjoy all the musical experiences and camaraderie gained by playing in a performing ensemble. With 2 weeks to prepare for the final concert, both the directors and the students take this task seriously! Our Rock faculty includes Frost School of Music Professors, graduate students, alumni, and professional/touring rock performers. They are dedicated to creating the best possible environment for learning -a positive, supportive, and non-competitive atmosphere. Our campers will be able to enjoy jamming, but they also will be learning theory, improv, and the styles and music of both classic and contemporary rock bands.

Our program provides the opportunity for campers to study musical subjects that are typically not a part of a school music program. For advanced students, we offer a theory class designed for rock players. We especially encourage creativity and improvisation. We know that these are important abilities to develop - in both our younger campers - who enjoy the fun and freedom of being creative and for our advanced campers are ready to try new things without the pressure of grades or tests.

Select the LEVEL that best fits your child. Elementary and Intermediate Levels are offered in Session A: June 19 to June 30 and the Advanced Level is offered in Session B: July 3 to July 14.Your school or private music teacher will be able to help you decide. After you register, we will email your teacher a recommendation form to confirm that your camper is in the correct level. NOTE: ENROLLMENT IS LIMITED. ACCEPTANCE MAY BE SUBJECT TO INSTRUMENTATION.
