PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

The goal of this program, is for campers to be exposed to both Musical Theater and Contemporary Vocal Performance, plus gain important skills in correct Vocal Technique! Our VOCAL faculty are both performers and educators who are dedicated to giving campers the best experience possible!

TECHNOLOGY REQUIREMENTS

All classes will be conducted on online.

PERFORMING ENSEMBLE CLASSES and THEIR FINAL CONCERT

Campers will be grouped according to their instrument. Their teacher will coach them on their parts. In order to appear in the Final Concert, your child will need to record their part on their home device and email it to the camp. Their camp teacher will guide them through this process.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Entering grades 5-8 in the fall.
  • Has been singing for at least 1 year.
  • All applicants who meet the above requirements may enroll in the Camp.

INTERMEDIATE VOCAL PROGRAM
DAILY SCHEDULE (8:45 A.M. - 1:15 P.M.)

8:45 - 9:45

VOICE FORUM
Campers learn about good vocal technique and also get to be coached on a song of their choice by our expert faculty.

10:00 - 11:00

Exploring Voice & Movement: Based on the Alexander Technique, campers learn how to use their body in a natural way to improve their singing.

11:15 - 12:15

Private Instruction: Individual lessons with the Camp faculty!

PRIVATE LESSONS

Private lessons given by our camp staff may be scheduled after regular dismissal. The lessons are one hour long and all of the instructors are part of our camp faculty. The classes are held daily except for the last day of the session. When you register, you can select the day that you want. The camp cannot re-schedule a missed private lesson.

HOW TO APPLY

  • Review the Daily Schedule to learn about the classes offered, and choose your Electives and Optional Classes.
  • The Camp will email our "Teacher Recommendation Form" to your child's music teacher. This is to confirm that your camper is in the correct level. Make sure you know the e-mail address of your school or private music teacher before you start to register.
